Sonu Sood recently took to Instagram and shared a throwback picture of himself from the sets of the 2019 film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. While the actor shot for a few scenes, he ended up not featuring in the final cut due to his other work commitments. In the picture that he posted, Sonu Sood can be seen flaunting his chiselled physique, as he walked with director Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, known professionally as Krish. Krish had directed 70 percent of the film but ended up not taking credit for it as Kangana took over the direction.
Sonu is all dressed up in the film’s character he was supposed to play Sadashivrao bhau.
Sonu Sood captioned his post, “Walk towards the good in life and one day you will arrive #throwback (sic).”

Manikarnika had a share of its controversies when Sonu had opted out from the film after shooting a few scenes. The actor had stated that he left the shoot due to reshoots and filming schedule.
Meanwhile, Sonu has been rocking the headlines for helping the migrant workers to reach their native places. Actor-politician Prakash Raj had recently felicitated him for his work with a bouquet and a shawl. The felicitation ceremony’s photo was shared by actor Brahmaji on Twitter. The actor wrote, “It’s a nice gesture from our @prakashraaj ..felicitated helping hand @SonuSood on alludu adurs sets. God bless.”

Sonu Sood recently received the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award for helping stranded migrants during the coronavirus crisis by arranging food, buses, trains and chartered flights for them. Priyanka Chopra Jonas had taken to social media to congratulate him for the same. He was presented with the award at a virtual ceremony on September 29.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Priyanka Chopra wrote, “Congratulations @SonuSood. So well deserved! You continue to do God’s work and it’s so inspiring to see. Thank you for all that you do (sic).”

He had earlier told India Today in an interview, “In the last few months, it felt like I found a purpose in life. When the Covid-19 crisis happened everyone was clueless, including me and we didn’t know what to do. With the news of the migrant workers suffering I knew I wasn’t going to sit around and not do anything about it. That’s when I choose to step out and make myself the catalyst to the change I want to see.”
On the work front, Sonu Sood was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba as Durva Ranade. He also starred in a few South films later. Sonu Sood is in Hyderabad currently. The actor will play an important role in the film Alludu Adhurs that also features Bellakonda Sai Sreenivas, Nabha Natesh and Anu Emmanuel.
